1/10/17 Substitute Part-time Assistant Group Supervisors
We are looking for early childhood professionals to join our family in the Northside area. We are currently seeking Assistant Group Supervisors for Keystone Star 3 Center. This integral member of the child care team will be responsible for daily classroom activities, supervision, and creating a quality environment for our families.

We have substitute part-time positions available in our early and late child care toddler, preschool, and afterschool classrooms (6:30 – 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.)  Positions may lead to extended day or full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting in the preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate program activities for their classroom, adhering to the principles of child development
Coordinating daily activities and classroom environment and provides supervision of the classroom in the absence of the Group Supervisor
Handle any behavior issues, providing support and redirection
Maintaining a safe environment by adhering to all policies and procedures of the Center, Pennsylvania Department of Human Service’s regulations and Keystone Stars Quality Standards
Creating and maintaining quality and effective relationships with the children they serve
Maintaining effective positive communication with families
Striving to maintain and improve professional competency through participation in workshops, seminars, and in-service activities
Working as part of a greater team to provide quality care to the families we serve.
Performing other responsibilities as requested by Group Supervisor or the Director

Education/ Qualifications:
At least at Level 3 on Keystone Stars Career Lattice, w/experience (Child Development Associate (CDA), School-Age Professional Credential (SAPC), or Specialized Certificates or Diplomas in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, which range from nine to thirty-six credits.)
Two years of documented work experience related to the care and development of youth.
Current Health Assessment & State, Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances
